Terms and Conditions 1. Admission and Eligibility 1.1. Admission to the Jain Boys Hostel (“Hostel”) shall be granted solely at the discretion of the management and is open only to male individuals who adhere to Jain principles. 1.2. The applicant must submit valid government-issued identification, academic records, and a written consent letter from a parent or legal guardian. 1.3. The Hostel reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason whatsoever. 2. Code of Conduct and Discipline 2.1. All residents (“Hostelites”) shall conduct themselves in a disciplined, respectful, and courteous manner at all times and shall uphold the moral and religious values prescribed by Jainism. 2.2. The consumption, possession, or distribution of alcohol, tobacco, narcotic substances, or any other intoxicants is strictly prohibited and shall constitute grounds for immediate expulsion. 2.3. Use or possession of non-vegetarian food (e.g but not limited to eggs, fish, meat products), is strictly prohibited within the Hostel premises. 2.4. The playing of loud music, hosting of unauthorized gatherings, and any form of disruptive behavior is expressly forbidden. 3. Curfew and Attendance 3.1. All Hostelites must adhere to the prescribed daily curfew, which shall ordinarily be 9:00 PM unless otherwise notified. 3.2. Any intention to stay out beyond curfew must be communicated to, and approved by, the Hostel Warden in advance. 3.3. Attendance shall be taken daily; repeated absenteeism without valid cause may result in disciplinary action. 4. Pricing and Fees 4.1. All fees and charges are subject to change with prior notice, as outlined in your agreement. Quoted fees cover only the services specified in your contract. 5. Room Allocation and Property Maintenance 5.1. Rooms shall be allotted solely by the management, and any requests for room change must be submitted in writing and approved formally. 5.2. Hostelites are expected to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within their rooms and common areas. 5.3. Any damage caused to Hostel property, whether willful or negligent, shall be recoverable from the responsible individual, along with applicable penalties. 6. Visitors 6.1. Visitors shall be permitted only during designated hours and must be registered in the visitors’ logbook. 6.2. No female visitor shall be permitted within the residential or private areas of the Hostel under any circumstances. 6.3. The Hostel reserves the right to refuse admission to any visitor without assigning any reason. 6.4. Visiting person are only allowed in designated areas of the hostel. 6.5. Management reserves and delegates the right to expel any unregistered visitor in the facility. Management reserves the right to take disciplinary action on occupants related to unregistered visitors 7. Dining Facilities 7.1. Meals shall be served at fixed hours in the designated dining area. 7.2. Consumption of outside food within the Hostel is discouraged and may be restricted to preserve religious dietary standards. 7.3. Only Jain food will be served. 8. Security and Personal Effects 8.1. Hostel management shall not be held liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings. 8.2. Hostelites are advised to keep valuables securely locked at all times and exercise due diligence. 9. Medical and Health 9.1. Any illness or injury must be promptly reported to the Hostel Warden or designated authority. 9.2. Basic first-aid services shall be provided; for any serious medical condition, the cost of treatment shall be borne by the resident or their guardian. 10. Disciplinary Measures 10.1. Any violation of these Terms and Conditions may result in a warning, monetary fine, suspension, or expulsion, depending on the severity of the infraction. 10.2. The decision of the Hostel management in all disciplinary matters shall be final and binding. 11. Leave and Vacation Policy 11.1. Hostelites must obtain prior written permission before proceeding on leave during the academic term. 11.2. During scheduled long vacations, Hostelites shall vacate their rooms unless special approval is granted. 12. Fees and Refunds 12.1. All Hostel fees must be paid in full and in accordance with the fee schedule communicated at the time of admission. 12.2. No portion of the fee shall be refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal or expulsion from the Hostel. 13. Amendment of Terms 13.1. The management reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time, and such changes shall be binding upon all residents with immediate effect. 14. Fire Safety Directions 14.1. All Hostelites must acquaint themselves with the location of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and fire alarm systems within the premises. 14.2. Tampering with fire safety equipment (e.g., extinguishers, smoke detectors) is strictly prohibited and shall result in disciplinary action. 14.3. The use of candles, incense sticks, electric heaters, hot plates, or any open-flame devices inside rooms is strictly forbidden. 14.4. In the event of a fire or smoke alarm, Hostelites must immediately evacuate the building in a calm and orderly manner, using the nearest designated exit. 14.5. Fire drills may be conducted periodically, and participation in such drills is mandatory. 14.6. Any suspected fire hazard must be immediately reported to the Hostel Warden or the designated safety officer. 14.7. in the event of fire, use of elevator is strictly forbidden. Use stairs for evacuation. 14.8. Possession and use of firecrackers within the hostel premises is strictly forbidden and shall result in immediate termination of accommodation.
